The International House of Prayer Kansas City (IHOPKC) Leadership Team has announced serious allegations of sexual immorality against founder Mike Bickle, following a public confrontation over transparency.
The nature of the allegations wasn’t initially disclosed, leading to criticism. A statement by former IHOPKC leaders revealed allegations of clergy sexual abuse spanning several decades.
IHOPKC is engaging with outside parties to assess and arbitrate these allegations. Mike Bickle has agreed to temporarily remove himself from ministry duties and social media. The church is asking for patience and prayer as they navigate this complex situation.
Congregants were encouraged to seek support if they’ve experienced similar trauma. IHOPKC leadership acknowledged that some may not agree with their decisions and urged unity and understanding within the congregation.
The service concluded with a benediction expressing support and appreciation for the attendees.
