My husband is too kind to mention this (that or he just gave up ;) ), but he has asked me for a couple of weeks now to make a Reynoso Art post because it’s my turn, after all. I will admit I dropped the ball.

All five children are home for the summer and it’s taken me a bit to TRY and adjust to the lack of a schedule which I once possessed while they were still in school. I’ll let you know when I get there. (FYI- Don’t hold your breath!)

A couple of months ago I was asked to exhibit my art at a local church which  brings in various artists over the course of the year. I was honored to be asked. As preparation for that show I needed to have a few new pieces printed in order to fill the space and this was one that I chose. The smallest I print any of my images is 8×12 but I really prefer to go larger. Much larger. Bigger is better, right?? ;)  So, I went big with this one – just imagine it  as a 24″x36

“. While preparing for my show I asked some friends if they had any ideas for a title. Sometimes a title just comes to me, other times I really have to work for one. One friend mentioned that it reminded her of dancing Spanish skirts which resonated with me immediately, thus the title: Flamenco.

It is a lot of fun to see an object that was perhaps 2” in reality morph into something with so much presence and flair!  I have to say that it quickly replaced a few other images of mine and is now one of my favorites.

I hope  you enjoy it as much as I do.
