This photo was taken on a July evening after a photo-walk around San Francisco with friends. A group of us wandered through the Mission District photographing graffiti and then had lunch. One friend on the walk had recently posted a few photos of dahlias and she told me their general location in Golden Gate Park, where I’d never been. After the photo walk  was over my husband humored me and we set out in search of these captivating flowers. Finding them felt like a Celebration! indeed. :)
