I was extremely fortunate to visit New York City twice last year. It is my favorite city and I would move back in a heartbeat, should the possibility ever present itself. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have lived there for the years that I did.

This photo was taken in April 2014 on a wonderful nine-day visit. I will say, my feet were quite out of shape for such a task and hurt SO badly by the end of my trip as I traipsed across the city and back for hours and hours each day with my gear on my back and my camera in hand. I did sleep…a little. ;)

When I arrived home and backed-up my images, I’m not sure this one even made it to my 1-star rating. 1 star is my note to self to go back and re-visit and process the photo, meaning I really liked it. I recently re-discovered this image a few weeks ago and fully edited it. I must say the more I see it, the more I like it. I even made it my phone’s Wallpaper, giving the previous image the boot!  I love how this is a perspective of the Freedom Tower that is not often seen, and it was taken from one of my favorite parts of the city. Life is best traveled through with a fresh perspective, a looking for the things you may have missed the first time, or would have missed had you not been looking.  Your perspective and the light by which you see can make all the difference!
