Epstein emails released reveal new details about Trump, Prince Andrew, and Clinton

Partisan Dispute Over Trump Mentions

The House Oversight Committee released 23,000 documents tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. These include years of email correspondence with influential figures, journalists, and associates. Democrats initially released three emails implicating Trump. In response, Republicans published the full trove, accusing Democrats of misrepresenting facts to harm Trump politically. Trumpโ€™s spokesperson condemned the selective release as a “fake narrative.”

Emails Suggest Complex Ties With Trump

Epstein once wrote that Trump “knew about the girls,” although the meaning of this statement remains unclear. The two men were once friends, but reportedly had a falling out before public accusations against Epstein surfaced.

Journalist Michael Wolff received an email from Epstein in 2019 stating that Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s accusers, had worked at Trumpโ€™s Mar-a-Lago. Giuffre later said she met Trump only once and did not believe he knew of Epsteinโ€™s abuse.

Trump has claimed he banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago because Epstein was “taking people who worked for me,” referring to Giuffre. Epstein countered in an email that he had never been a club member and that “of course he knew about the girls.”

Prince Andrew and Clinton Appear in the Files

Epstein referenced Prince Andrew in several emails, often challenging Giuffreโ€™s credibility. He confirmed that Giuffre flew on his plane and was photographed with Andrew, but labeled her “a total liar.

Andrew, now Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has denied allegations that he had sex with Giuffre when she was 17. The accusations led to the loss of his royal titles. Epstein told Maxwell that Giuffre had never mentioned Trump despite spending “hours” at Epsteinโ€™s house.

Epstein Denied Hosting Clinton or Gore on His Island

In 2016, Epstein claimed in emails that he never hosted Bill Clinton or Al Gore on his Caribbean island, contradicting media reports. Clinton has admitted flying on Epsteinโ€™s private jet but denied visiting the island or knowing about Epsteinโ€™s crimes. No accusers, including Giuffre, have accused Clinton of misconduct.

Epstein Maintained Close Ties With Reporters

The trove also reveals how Epstein engaged with journalists. He frequently offered financial insights and access to influential contacts. Despite being a convicted sex offender, reporters regularly asked for his views on global events and political figures. Epstein often used these conversations to deny allegations and protect his image.
