Mac Powell and Third Day reunite for nationwide tour in 2026

Christian rock band Third Day will reunite for their first full tour in over a decade. Announced by lead singer Mac Powell on Instagram, the 30th anniversary tour will begin in March 2026. It marks the first time in 11 years the original lineup will perform together. The tour will span three months and visit 30 cities across the United States.

Iconic Lineup and Guest Artist Set for Return

Joining Powell on stage will be founding members Mark Lee, Tai Anderson, and David Carr. The tour will also feature special guest Zach Williams, a Christian music chart-topper. Fans can expect a setlist packed with favorites like “Consuming Fire,” “Your Love Oh Lord,” and “My Hope Is You.” The band, which started in 1991, has sold 10 million albums and earned 31 No. 1 singles.

A Celebration of Faith and Music for All Generations

Third Day members described the upcoming tour as more than just a series of concerts. Bassist Tai Anderson said it will celebrate music, faith, and the band’s loyal fan base. “It’s a celebration of music, faith community, and most importantly—you—our incredible fans,” Anderson said. CEO of Awakening Events, Dan Fife, called the event a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience for fans across generations.

High Expectations from Longtime Fans

The 2026 tour announcement has sparked excitement among fans who have awaited the band’s return since their 2018 farewell tour. That tour, originally planned for 12 shows, expanded due to overwhelming demand. “The best way to celebrate 30 years is to get back together for a tour,” said guitarist Mark Lee. Powell added that fans have frequently asked about a reunion, and now the time is finally right.

Some Concerns Over the Tour’s Scope and Timing

While many fans are thrilled, some critics have raised concerns about the tour’s length and the ability of the aging band members to sustain high-energy performances. Others question whether nostalgia alone will be enough to draw large crowds. Still, anticipation is high as the band prepares to reconnect with a devoted fan base and introduce their music to new audiences.
