Kidney gives woman with PKD a second chance

A woman has been given a second chance at life thanks to her fellow church member, who donated a kidney. Lois Denham was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease at the age of eight and has been fighting it since then.

Lois is 50 years old, Scottish, and suffers from this disease by genetic inheritance. Throughout her life, she was monitored by health professionals to remain stable. But in 2020 she acquired a kidney infection that left her in very unfavorable health.

His quality of life deteriorated and she urgently needed a kidney transplant as hers was working at only 3%. Then, Josh Hall volunteered as an organ donor to save his fellow parishioner and get her a second chance at life.

After carrying out the corresponding studies and having demonstrated compatibility, the operation was carried out.

Premier Christian news published:

“After several tests, it was confirmed that the 29-year-old was a direct match and the operation was carried out on January 17.

Speaking of Hall’s altruism, Denham continued, “What Josh has done, by giving me this new lease on life, is the gift of life. And it’s a sacrifice. He’s given away a part of it that he might need for something someday,” he continued.
